WCHC Medical Clinic to reopen Monday for primary care

To meet the healthcare needs of our community, Washington County Hospital and Clinics will reopen the WCHC Medical Clinic effective, Monday, May 18th. As the local healthcare organization, WCHC strives to provide timely access to high quality healthcare and takes pride in being available when and where patients need it most.

Primary Care providers including Dr. Curtis Frier, Dr. Rey Lin, Dr. James Schlichtmann, and Kelsey Striegel, DNP will return to the Medical Clinic to resume seeing and treating patients. The WCHC Medical Clinic is located at 444 East Polk Street and will be open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Patients are reminded to call ahead to schedule an appointment to be seen. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 319-653-7291.

Visitor restrictions remain in effect. In accordance with social distancing and to minimize the number of individuals gathered in a space, WCHC clinics will continue to limit patients to only one support person or caregiver when necessary. It is advised that patients attend appointments without a support person. Children scheduled to see a provider may have a parent or guardian present with them, but no siblings will be permitted. All patients will be screened upon entering the facility and are required to wear a face mask. To preserve personal protective equipment (PPE) including masks for the essential healthcare workers, patients are asked to provide their own mask.
