WE CARE

A representative from Relay for Life will be speaking at the We Care Fairfield cancer support group meeting from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Friday at the Jefferson County Health Center conference room.

The representative will explain what Relay for Life is and how people can get involved.

The Jefferson County Relay for Life will be May 5 in Fairfield. A time for questions, sharing and supporting each other also is planned during the We Care meeting.

Everyone is welcome.

We Care meets the third Friday of every month. Call 472-1856 for information.

OUR SPECIAL KIDS

MOUNT PLEASANT ? The second meeting of Our Special Kids for parents of special-needs children in southeast Iowa is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Mount Pleasant First United Methodist Church.

The group will take part in a teleconference by ASK Resource Center titled ?30 Myths in 30 Minutes? about common special education myths and misconceptions.

A time to interact and share ideas with other parents also is planned.

Children, families and guests are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

The next meeting will be April 19.
