The Bible says, ?This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.? In another place it says, ?Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice.? This day I think of how many things that we have to be thankful for and yes, though we are living in some very troubled times, we have much to be thankful for. The greatest for me is to know that God loves me and to experience this love in a real way. This love that I have found is available to all, as God loves us each and every one and is always there with His arms outstretched, reaching out to us to come and know Him and the love that He has for us. It doesn?t matter who we are, where we?ve been or what we have done, He?s there. It doesn?t matter if we are poor or rich, young or old, what nationality, what cultural background, what race we are. He is there for all those who will turn from lives that are contrary to God?s way, and will turn to Him and put their faith and trust in Hi; you will find what the Bible says, ?It is joy unspeakable and full of glory.?
This coming March 3-5, 2017, we are going to have what we call ?Spring Conference.? It will be a time when we come together to celebrate the new life that we can have in Jesus Christ. It will be a time of singing, praising, praying, ministering, and fellowshipping with one another. It will be a time of experiencing this love of God that I spoke of. It will begin on Friday night, March 3, at 7 p.m. with evangelist Robert ?Bobby? Newton preaching and ministering. Bob ministers in the Word as well as in the anointing of the Holy Spirit. He will bless you.
On Saturday morning doors will open at 9 a.m. followed at 10 a.m. with Bible study with Pastor Dave Watson of Washington First Assembly of God. His praise and worship team will also be leading in worship and praise in each service. Saturday afternoon, Teresa Fulmer will be leading in a special service for the ladies at 2 p.m. She is a pastor?s wife and a great woman of God. Saturday night at 6:30 p.m., Dr. Derwood Perkins, who is the state overseer of the Church of God in Iowa, will be ministering ? another tremendous man of God who will have something special for us. He will also be speaking at the 10 a.m. service Sunday morning. Then on Sunday evening, Mark Fulmer of Cedar Rapids will be ministering in the 6 p.m. service. There will be refreshments after each service as well as lunch each day at noon, and an evening meal Saturday evening.
We extend an invitation to you to come and take a part in this time of celebration.
