Karen gave an interesting overview of her position as the Juvenile Court Officer of Washington County for juveniles 18 years and younger with criminal behaviors. She is also currently serving Jefferson County in the same position. There was a good discussion along with questions and answers between the members and Karen.
A brief business meeting followed with the treasurer's report and book briefs. Several books were brought to share.
Ruth served delicious refreshments following the meeting.
The next meeting will be held May 18, 2022; time and place to be announced. Hostesses will be Linda Wiltfang and Clarissa Malmberg.

The National T.T.T. Society held the 74th Iowa State Convention in Burlington Iowa Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Pzazz complex. One hundred fifty-one members were in attendance. Louise Unkrich of Swedesburg, who is a member of Chapter L of Crawfordsville was honored as a 75 year member. Lions Club
The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday evening, April 25, 2022 at 6:30p.m. for their regular meeting. First, several went to the Crawfordsville Cemetery for some clean-up around the flagpole.
They then returned to the Crawfordsville Community Room where they held a short business meeting. Eleven members were present. The meeting was opened by Lion President Gene Miller leading the Pledge of Allegiance. He also offered prayer.
Lion Rose read the minutes of the April 11, 2022 meeting and they were approved as read. Lion President Miller passed a thank you from the WACO After Prom Committee for the club's donation and also a letter from the Lions Club Foundation which included a chevron the club had earned. Lion Finke gave a brief treasurer's report. Since Lion Jennie is unable to be present on May 16 to present the scholarship to the WACO recipient, Lion Davis agreed to do this. The Fall Pancake breakfast was discussed and it was decided to set the date of Saturday, September 10, 2022, subject to checking with the Fire Chief.
The President of the Community Club will speak at the May 9 meeting.
There being no further business to come before the club, the meeting adjourned.
