The Washington County Extension Office held a ?Welcome to the Jungle? day camp on June 11, 12, and 13 in Riverside, Wellman, and at Marr Park. All three days contained the same fun and excitement.
Around 30 preschoolers attended the camps to learn about jungle habitats, to see stripes and spots on animals used for camouflage, to make their own jungle trees. They created a safari vest and binoculars and went on a jungle safari searching for animal tracks, food, and habitat.
Several high school 4-H members volunteered at the camps including Chelsey Lampe, Jack Carter, Kaitlin Hora, Lindsey Palmer, Maddie Hora, Brooke Sieren, Jordan Stout, Sarah Greiner, Erin Chalupa, and Victoria Tillery.
