'Welcome to the Jungle' day camp held
The Washington County Extension office held a ?Welcome to the Jungle? Day Camp on June 7, 8 and 9 in Riverside, Marr Park, and Kalona. All three days contained the same fun and excitement around the theme of a "Jungle Safari." About 30 pre-kindergartners attended the camps.

The Washington County Extension office held a ?Welcome to the Jungle? Day Camp on June 7, 8 and 9 in Riverside, Marr Park, and Kalona. All three days contained the same fun and excitement around the theme of a "Jungle Safari." About 30 pre-kindergartners attended the camps.
The campers dived into jungle habitats, stripes and spots, use of camouflage, and safaris. The kids made their own jungle trees, created a safari vest and went on a jungle scavenger hunt searching for animal clues, and enjoyed several fun games and activities.
