Wellman Public Library hosting Trivia Night Feb. 28

The Wellman Public Library is hosting a Trivia Night Fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Parkside Activity Center in Wellman. The event raises funds to support the library’s programs and services for the community.

In 2023, the state of Iowa passed legislation that removed local library levies, including the levy that previously helped fund the Wellman Public Library. As a result, fundraising events like Trivia Night play an important role in ensuring the library can continue to offer high-quality programming for all ages. These programs include the annual Summer Reading Program, the popular Tuesday evening event series, and numerous educational and enrichment activities throughout the year.

Trivia Night will be presented by Christopher’s Bar Exam, promising an evening of fun, friendly competition. Teams of up to eight players can compete. Tables are $160, with proceeds supporting all the great programs the library has to offer. Participants are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with trivia beginning at 7 p.m. This event is a great opportunity to enjoy a lively night out while supporting the library.
