The West Chester United Methodist Women met at noon, Nov. 12, at Halcyon House in Washington, for a lunch and meeting. Karen Heineman, director, welcomed the group of 12. A delicious lunch was served at the Applewood Bistro. Karen guided a tour of two apartments and explained the extensive building plans for Halcyon House. The group thanked Karen for the lunch, her time, and the tour.

The West Chester United Methodist Women met at noon, Nov. 12, at Halcyon House in Washington, for a lunch and meeting. Karen Heineman, director, welcomed the group of 12. A delicious lunch was served at the Applewood Bistro. Karen guided a tour of two apartments and explained the extensive building plans for Halcyon House. The group thanked Karen for the lunch, her time, and the tour.
The minutes of the October meeting were read and approved. The treasurer?s report was given, and the balance included the proceeds of the Election Night Supper. Pat Dusenbery moved to accept the report, and Bev Zehr seconded. The motion carried.
Pat Dusenbery, Education and Interpretation chairman, used Jeremiah 31-34 as the text of her report. She closed with a prayer of thanksgiving.
Nancy Schmidt, vice president, distributed the 2015 program books. She explained the reading program and listed the books that can be checked out. The unit will get credit for all the books that are read.
The Election Night Supper was a success, with 250 attending ? the most in several years. Sharon Hahn thanked those who furnished food and helped to make it a success.
The next meeting will be at noon, Dec. 10 at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington. The World Thank Offering program will be presented. The group will visit members who are residing at the Brownlee Health Center.
