President Sharon Hahn opened the business meeting celebrating the birth of Jesus by reading the Christmas story. Minutes of the November meeting were read and approved. The treasurer?s report was presented. Pat Dusenbery, Education and Interpretation chairman, read from Isaiah 35:3-9, mission focus assisting families in Laurens, Iowa. The women of the Methodist Church crochet and knit prayer shawls. The women wear many hats in the small church, much as do the women in the West Chester church.

After the business meeting, the group visited the Health Center to take a gift and sing carols to UMW members living in Brownlee. The visit was appreciated by the residents.
