The Fairfield Public Library, with the help of Way Off Broadway and community volunteers, is planning ?When the Lights Go Out? from 7-9 p.m. Oct. 27 at the library.
?What happens in the library when the librarians go home and the lights go out,? asked youth services librarian Jessica Garchik. ?Come and see.?
Garchik said families will be ?amazed and enchanted? as they travel through the library and meet characters from some of their favorite books.
Admission to the event is a current library card.
Guided tours will leave the library?s community meeting room every five minutes. Games and activities will be set up in the meeting room to entertain those waiting for a tour.
According to Garchik, the library is seeking a few community members to volunteer with the event. Interested volunteers should call her at 472-6551.
