White Cloud Club meets

On Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, White Cloud Club members gathered at the home of Jolene Colthurst for a Holiday meal and monthly meeting.

Jolene had prepared a delicious meal for all to enjoy. The house was decorated with beautiful Christmas trees and decorations including the dining table where everyone gathered around for a time of eating and reflecting on the upcoming activities of the Holiday Season.

During a short business meeting, President Jolene shared a reading "Making Christmas" which reminded everyone of the tasks associated with preparing for the holidays. Roll call was answered with everyone telling "What did you finish this year?" Club members shared quite an impressive list of items they had found in drawers, closets and attics that they had "pitched." They also shared that puzzles had been completed, and vacations planned and enjoyed.

Secretary/Treasurer reports were given by Betty Lintz and approved as read. No bills were reported. Old Business: None. New Business: A reminder that there will be no meeting in January.

The Feb. 1, 2022 meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Pizza Ranch in Washington with Margaret Patterson as hostess. Club members will answer roll call with "What was your favorite vacation?"

A gift exchange followed the business meeting.

A social time followed the meeting and included a delicious dessert served by Jolene. Before departing, members filled plates with goodies which each member had brought for sharing.

Everyone thanked Jolene for being hostess and creating special memories during a lovely Christmas gathering.

The United Church of Crawfordsville will be Christmas caroling on Friday, Dec. 17, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. Afterward, those participating will return to the church for Potluck/Finger foods.

A Christmas Eve candlelight service will be held on Friday evening, Dec. 24, 2021 at 7 p.m. at the United Church of Crawfordsville.
