White Cloud Club meets at Dodici’s Shop

The Dodici's Shop was the meeting place for the White Cloud Club on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
Members Jolene Colthurst, Betty Lintz, Diane Johnston, Margaret Patterson and Virginia Sands chose their drink and treat.
Betty opened the meeting with a reading from her church devotional book regarding Easter. Roll call was answered by each sharing a favorite piece of jewelry. Some brought their pieces, while others told of ones they had at home.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, May 7 with the time and place to be determined. Roll call will be to bring a picture of themselves as children.
A plant or bulb exchange will be held.
SURPRISE FOR THE FLETCHERS
What began as a usual Sunday morning of attending church services at the United Church of Crawfordsville for Larry and Donna Fletcher quickly turned into a surprise celebration gathering of their immediate family and church family to honor Larry who recently retired from his duties of church treasurer after 15 years and Donna as secretary after 13.
In attendance were their daughter and husband, Pam and Steve Green of Washington and grandchildren, Jacob Green and Sam Dutton of Waukee; Fletcher and Sam Green and Calla of North Liberty; their son and wife, Brad and Carol Fletcher of Cedar Falls and grandchildren, Clint Fletcher and Emma Fletcher of Hudson; Larry's sister and husband, Kathy and Mick Garris of Winfield; their sister-in-law, Robin Fletcher and husband, Mike Rolling of Ames and Donna's brother and wife, Bob and Joyce Knight of Clarence, Iowa.
A brunch following church services was hosted by the Membership and Mission Committee.
Congratulations, Larry and Donna on a job well done! You will be missed!! Enjoy your retirement!!
