Feb. 14, 2022 2:34 pm
White Cloud Club Members met on Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 11:30 a.m. for lunch and meeting at The Pizza Ranch in Washington.
Everyone enjoyed lunch from the buffet and before the brief business meeting, members enjoyed a lively discussion about Valentines and the memories of exchanging Valentines with classmates, family and friends. The time included seeing a wonderful collection of Valentines from past years.
President Jolene opened the business meeting with readings about Valentine’s Day. Roll call was answered by naming a favorite vacation. Answers varied and included vacations from long ago to more recent adventures.
Secretary/Treasurer Betty read the minutes of the December meeting, which were approved as read. With no old business, they moved onto New Business, which included discussion as to where to go for the March meeting, which is a special annual Date Nite event.
Options were listed and Margaret volunteered to check on availability of restaurants in the local area. It was decided Date Nite should be at 5:30 p.m. Jolene closed the meeting by thanking Margaret for being hostess and the Valentine treats she shared with everyone. Cards were passed around to sign and send to two members who were not present due to health issues. Happy Valentine's Day greetings were given as members departed.
Those attending were Jolene Colthurst, Joyce Huff, Betty Lintz, Pat Miller, Margaret Patterson and guest, Ruth Erwin.
Arrangements have since been made to have Date Nite on March 1, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. at the El Mariachi Restaurant in Winfield.
A reminder to everyone that the Crawfordsville Lions Club will be having a Pancake and Sausage Supper, Saturday evening, Feb. 19 from 4-7 p.m. at City Hall/Fire Station. Pancake, Sausage, Eggs, White or Chocolate Milk and Coffee will be served for a Free-will offering. Dine-in or Carry-out.
