White Cloud Club meets in Washington

White Cloud Club
President Jolene Colthurst greeted five members of the White Cloud Club and one guest at the Washington Pizza Ranch at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Betty Lintz served as hostess.
After enjoying the buffet lunch, members reminisced on how they celebrated Independence Day on July 4.
Those attending were Jolene Colthurst, Betty Lintz, Pat Miller, Virginia Sands, Margaret Patterson and her guest, Ruth Erwin.
Jolene opened the business meeting with a reading "Knock at the Door." which was a reminder that worry can be an intruder at the door of our lives.
Roll call was answered by sharing what was each one's favorite season and why.
Betty read the Secretary and Treasurer reports from the June meeting. There was no old business to discuss. New Business including sharing a Thank You note from member Pauline Richardson for the plant she received during her recent hospitalization.The club received an update from club member, Joyce Huff. They continue to be missed at the group's monthly meetings. Cards were signed to send to each of them. Members were encouraged to stop and visit with both.
The next meeting will be a potluck supper on Sunday, August 7, 2022 in the Fellowship Hall of the United Church of Crawfordsville at 6 p.m. Virginia and Carrie Coble will be co-hostesses. Each is asked to bring a dish to share and their own table service. Drinks will be provided.
Discussion was held of possible local places of interest to visit for the annual club tour on Tuesday, September 6. Club members were saddened at the news of the passing of long time member, Frieda Finke. A memorial will be sent to the family. Jolene shared a reading as a tribute to Frieda and members reflected on their special times with Frieda.
The group's meeting concluded with sharing White Elephant gifts. There was a lot of laughter as each gift was opened revealing " precious and thoughtful" items.
