White Cloud Club meets in Washington

WHITE CLOUD CLUB
Six members of the White Cloud Club and one guest met Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. for their monthly meeting at the Pizza Ranch in Washington.
Following lunch, President Jolene Colthurst opened the business meeting with a reading, "Autumn's Joy". Roll call was taken by Betty Lintz with those present responding with how many pumpkins each had in their homes. The minutes of the October meeting were read.Two bills were submitted and annual dues were collected for the 2022-23 year.
Old Business; Nothing.
New Business: Pat Miller thanked the club members for flowers she received during her surgery and convalescence. Betty passed out new club calendar books for the 2022-23 year. The club appreciates her doing this. One birthday gift was received from a Mystery Sister.
Those attending were Jolene Colthurst, Betty Lintz, Pat Miller, Margaret Patterson, Pauline Richardson, Virginia Sands and guest, Dorothy Sands.
The December meeting will be at the home of Jolene Colthurst on Tuesday, December 6. Each member was reminded to bring two dozen cookies to share and a $5.00 gift to exchange.
The time together ended with thanking the hostess, Pauline and for her treats of assorted candy and nuts.
UNITED CHURCH
The United Church Women met Tuesday, November 8, 2022 in the Fellowship Hall with six ladies present.
The devotions were given by Margaret Patterson reading "The Thankful Leper" Luke 17. from "Great Things Gratitude Brings" by author David Jeremiah.
President Debbie Lowe called the meeting to order and the Opening Creed was read together.
The minutes of the September 20, 2022 meeting were read by Secretary Billie Jo Rose and they were accepted as amended.
The Treasurer 's report was given by Pat Miller and will be filed for audit.
Correspondence: None
Committee Reports:
Local Activities: The report from the Harvest Supper was that it was very successful.
Dorcas: It was reported two quilts were donated for the Harvest auction, 12 had been taken to Colonial Manor in Columbus Jct., two were given to members who had recently been hospitalized and four comfort quilts were donated to the Ingathering.
Cards, Flowers and Gifts: The usual cards, along with one anniversary card had been sent.
Study & Devotions/Mission Outreach; The regular offering and the Least Coin Offering were taken and the Prayer of the Least Coin was read together. The Blessing Boxes were also turned in.
Old Business:
From the last meeting, changes within the local organization; letters have been sent to the respective organizations. Responses were read concerning these changes. Some notes had been given to the Parish Council as to the group's changes. New program books will be made and sign-up sheets were passed to sign up for work and monthly committees.
New Business: The treasury was assessed.
Upcoming Events:
Next Meeting: Tuesday, December 13. A Christmas luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. with the location to be determined. Meditation: Billie Jo Rose; Hostess: Pat Miller. Dorcas: November 14 & 28, December 12.
Work Committees: November : Donna Fletcher; December: Debbie Lowe.
Following a motion to adjourn the Closing Creed was read together. Debbie thanked Linda Wiltfang for hostessing and closed with Psalm 55:22 "Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you".
