White Cloud Club meets in Washington

The White Cloud Club met Tuesday, May 6, 2025 for lunch at the Pizza Ranch in Washington with five members and one guest attending.
President Betty Lintz opened the meeting with readings from "Add a Little Bit of Harmony". Roll call was answered with "what kind of tree would you like to plant", which drew many interesting replies.
Pat Miller read the minutes of the previous meeting and they were approved as read. The treasurer's report was given. One bill was presented and approved. Correspondence included a thank you note.
Old Business: None.
New Business: Ideas were shared for the upcoming club tour. The June 3rd meeting will be a breakfast with Diane being hostess and members will be informed of the time and location later.
The rest of the afternoon was spent visiting and "catching up", since recent meetings had been cancelled.
Betty presented everyone with a "hostess" gift of a garden stake and a towel.
Members attending were Jolene Colthurst, Betty Lintz, Pat Miller, Diane Johnston and Margaret Patterson and guest, Ruth Erwin.
MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 26, 2025 at 10 a.m. at the Crawfordsville Cemetery.
LTC Darwin "Pete" Peterson will be speaking. Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs and in case of inclement weather, the program will be moved to the American Legion Hall.
Refreshments will be served at the American Legion Hall following the service.
Volunteers are needed to put the flags up on Saturday, May 24 at 8 a.m. and to take flags down on Monday, May 26 at 4:30 p.m. Any and all help is appreciated.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025 in the Fellowship Hall at the United Church of Crawfordsville from 2-4 p.m. for former resident Marvin Pool of Yalaha, Florida who passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2025.
