White Cloud Club meets in Wayland

Four members of the White Cloud Club met at Your Choice Family Restaurant in Wayland on May 2, 2023.

Following a nice lunch, Pat Miller opened the meeting as President Pro-tem and hostess. Roll call was answered with "Do you do May Day?" Bettty Lintz read minutes of the April meeting and gave the treasurer's report. Both were approved.

Discussion was held concerning the group's club trip in September and ideas suggested will be considered at the next meeting.

Two brought plants to exchange. There were no Secret Sister gifts.

Attending were Betty Lintz, Pat Miller, Pauline Richardson and Virginia Sands.

The next meeting will be a breakfast with the time and place yet to be decided.

LIONS CLUB MEETING

The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday evening, May 8 at 7 p.m. with thirteen members present. President Finke opened the meeting leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Nancy Love offered prayer.

Following the delicious meal prepared by Alice Hochstetler, the meeting reconvened.

Secretary Rose read the minutes of the April 24 meeting and they were approved with one correction. Treasurer Finke gave his report.

Old Business: In keeping with the Lions 70th Celebration, in conjunction with Fun Days, T-Shirts are being ordered for club members with the Lions logo and the years 1953-2023 underneath.

New Business: A brochure on Camp Courageous was passed and Lion Davis reported he and his wife had recently been there to their annual Omelet Breakfast. Lion Rose shared a scrapbook from the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Club. It was also reported that the scholarship applicants had been received. Lion Nancy Love gave a brief report on the Lions State Convention she had attended May 5-6 at the Diamond Event Center in Cedar Falls, hosted by the Cedar Falls Lions. International Director Allen Snider from Canada and his wife, Lion Susan were present.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
