Eight members enjoyed a time of food and fellowship on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Your Choice Family Restaurant in Wayland. Members attending were Carrie Coble, Jolene Cothurst, Diane Johnston, Betty Lintz, Pat Miller, Margaret Patterson, Pauline Richardson and Virginia Sands.
Margaret Patterson was the hostess and provided treats in the 4th of July theme for the 11:30 a.m. gathering.
President Betty Lintz opened the meeting by sharing an old picture of her family. Roll call was answered by each telling a favorite T.V.
show. Answers came from those of many years ago to the now modern shows.
In new business there was discussion of the club's annual outing which will be held on Tuesday, September 3.
The next meeting will be a potluck supper on Sunday, August 4 at 6 p.m. at the United Church of Crawfordsville. Family members are encouraged to attend and enjoy the evening.
MIDWEST MISSION
Once again the United Church of Crawfordsville is collecting items for school kits and personal dignity kits to be sent to Midwest Mission. Although this is early to be talking about them, since they aren't sent until November, school supplies are soon to be on sale in the stores. If you prefer to give cash for supplies to be purchased, please contact Pat Miller.
The Dorcas ladies are making some bags for the school kits. If anyone has any denim, corduroy or sailcloth material they would like to donate please contact Donna Fletcher.
More information will follow soon with lists of items for both the Personal Dignity Kits and the Student School Kits.
