Whoopee Days planning underway

BRIGHTON ? Planning for the 105th Annual Brighton Whoopee Days was the main order of business for the Brighton Chamber when they met on February 19. Whoopee Days will be June 18 ? 21, 2015.

?As always, there are many things planned for Whoopee Days,? said Rosemary Pacha. ? We want people to come and stay and enjoy all the events,? she added.

The mud run, parade, Brighton Bear Reunion, carnival and talent show will be back. ?These events have been the backbone of Whoopee Days for many years,? said Nancy Adrian, Brighton Chamber President. Also returning this year will be the Darling Pet Contest, Best Darn Cook Contest, and Cute Kids Contest. Adrian added, ?We are working on some new events and are firming up our evening entertainment ? so stay tuned for more updates.?

?It may take a few minutes more for some people to get to Brighton with the Skunk River Bridge out ? but we will make their trip worthwhile,? said Stacie Lowe Chamber Vice President. ?Plan to be in Brighton the third weekend in June and enjoy the fun,? Lowe added.
