WHS Class of 1959 holds reunion

“And a good time was had by all” is a common expression and it was certainly true Saturday night, June 8, when the Washington High School class of 1959 enjoyed their 65th reunion.

Twenty classmates, plus spouses and guests, met at Lebowski’s to reminisce and catching up as new classmates arrived. Washington’s mayor, Millie Youngquist, gave an interesting presentation, including pictures, of things old and new in the city of Washington.

Andrea Zeck Bailey offered a prayer before all enjoyed a meal together. Many continued sharing and laughing over “stories” they remembered. All classmates were asked to submit information about themselves to be included in a booklet available to all, including those who were not able to attend. We’ll see what five years brings, but a 70th reunion is a possibility!
