Winfield girl competes for the title of National American Miss

Farrah Hope Nelson, daughter of Dustin and Kathy Nelson, has earned the opportunity to attend the National American Miss Pageant through her successfully scored events in casual wear and modeling as third runner-up.

The National American Miss Pageant will be held in Anaheim, Calif., at Disneyland during Thanksgiving week. She will be representing the state of Iowa and will have the opportunity to win her share of over $500,000 in cash and prizes.

Nelson?s additional activities and awards include four ribbons for the categories of top model, causal wear, modeling and acting. In addition, she was awarded the title of Miss Photogenic. She has also received a trophy for participating in the state finals.
