Winfield Historical Society raises money for new location
Feb. 24, 2022 2:41 pm
The Winfield Historical Society is raising money for its new location, the old L.L. Elliott building, and encourages residents to join the organization, supported by annual dues.
Both front windows in the building are broken and need replacement, as well as extensive work to be done on the building’s interior.
The society announced it has added two board members, Darrell Anderson and Susan Beard, both longtime Winfield community members.
The society is planning its 2nd Annual Collector’s program on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. at the Veteran’s building. There will be six collectors, showing and explaining their collections of: Kachina dolls, Arrowheads, Tanned Hides, Turkey collectibles, Fighting Roosters and handmade Fishing lures. A free will donation is appreciated.
The museum is open every Monday from 10 a.m. until noon.
