Winfield-Mt. Union to host send-off for girls’ basketball team

In the upcoming days, our girls’ basketball team from Winfield-Mt. Union will be going to play at state. It’s a very exciting opportunity they have received.
The last time the girls’ basketball team went to state was in 1998. This being the first time in 25 years, there is much excitement going on. They have had a great season and have worked very hard to get here, so making it to state is a very huge accomplishment for them.
There will be a community send off for the girls Thursday night, and everyone is encouraged to go support them. Without this community's support and their effort and hard work, this wouldn’t have been possible.
