Winners announced for best fire prevention poster

Oct. 7-11 was Fire Prevention Week in Iowa. Washington Fire Department puts much effort into visiting the schools with fire prevention stations and by sponsoring the fire prevention poster contest. At Lincoln Elementary School, all students made posters in art class, which were sent to the fire department for judging. Trophies were given for grand prize/first place and also second and third place for each grade level. The grand prize and first place posters go on to the state level competition. Congratulations to all the winners!
The top places in third grade were: Nevaeh Triplett Fritz (grand prize), Sam Kaye (second place) and Addilyn Snyder (third place);
Fourth grade's top finishers were: Reagan Miller (grand prize), Sophina Robinson (second place) and Madison VanWinkle (third place);
Fifth grade's standout artists were: Johannah Halvorson (grand prize), Aliza Hoyle (second place) and Ashton Manz (third place)
