Winners announced for Fairfield Art Association membership show
The Fairfield Art Association has announced the winners in their 54th annual Membership Show and the artists in the all new 'Traveling Iowa Art Exhibit” which represents Fairfield and the surrounding area's most talented artists. This exhibit will travel for two years around the state, which includes galleries and institutions in locations such as Muscatine, Washington, Waukee, Burlington, Ottumwa, Urbandale, Albia, Des Moines, Ft. Madison and a couple yet to be booked. Burlington artist John Bybee served as judge for the awards made at the recent 'Celebration of Art” that took place at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center, and sponsored in part by a Fairfield Convention and Visitors Bureau grant.
The public voted on their favorite art piece in the membership show which went to Hans Olson for his oil painting 'Serene Pasture”.
