?Wizard of Oz? cast, crew listed

Celebrate spring in April by attending the Fairfield High School music department and drama club?s production of ?The Wizard of Oz? staged by students of all ages for an audience of all ages, invited directors Jim Edgeton, Zach, Reiter and Scott Slechta.

This all-time favorite children?s book and classic movie will be staged April 20-21 and April 27-28 at the high school auditorium.  Tickets will go on sale in April.

Little Dorothy Gale of Kansas, like so many girls her age, dreams of what lies over the rainbow. One day a twister hits her farm and carries her away over the rainbow to another world. Come join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they travel the universe of Dorothy?s imagination and meet the Good Witch, the Bad Witch and the Great Wizard of Oz.

Not only are high school students cast in the principle roles, but choir ensembles from Fairfield Middle School and the elementary schools are cast for specialty numbers. The middle school students will be featured in the ?Jitterbug? song and dance, while the elementary students serve as the Munchkin chorus.  The characters will be available after each show for photo opportunities with  children ? and Toto, too!
