Women4Women completed this year's event by presenting the following organizations with funds to assist Henry County women, and their families, who are battling cancer.

The Mount Pleasant Golf and Country Club hosted this year's event of golf, bridge and table games. Donations, games and silent auction of specially-prepared baskets brought in over $11,000.

The following recipients received either cash or goods to aid in their roles of helping these women:

' EveryStep was given nearly $500 worth of aids their nurses will be able to use during hospice care.

' Henry County Health Center received a new treatment chair with heat/massage capabilities, plus two tablets which can be used during the treatments to help pass the time.

' H20 was the final recipient with nearly $6,000 to use throughout the year to purchase gas cards, food cards, and for special needs as they arise.

The remaining funds will be used for startup next year and for a special fundraising sale. The organizers said very huge thank you to the community volunteers for helping with this worthy cause.
