Are you ready for spring? Want to get some fresh air, basic exercise, and learn something along the way? The Washington County Conservation Board will be hosting a Wonders of the Trail Hike in honor of spring on the Marr Park-Ainsworth paved trail. The hike will begin at 6 p.m. at the Conservation Center at Marr Park on Sunday, March 20.
Celebrate the beginning of spring as we hike from the Center, to the benches near Highway 92, and back. During our leisurely stroll, we?ll show off the natural features along the trail, talk about the wildlife management projects, view the tree plantings, and admire the arches accenting special elements. We?ll point out things to watch for in the different seasons and as the plantings progress and grow.
All ages and abilities are welcome. The trail is handicap and stroller accessible and the walk will only include one small hill.
Marr Park is located on Highway 92, seven miles east of Washington and one mile west of Ainsworth. The Conservation Center is located in the south end of the park.
