Every week, the Mt. Pleasant News will feature a Henry County resident in a profile snapshot. The questions will appear in bold.
This week's friend is Mark Hamilton, whom you may know from his work at American Family Insurance.
Are you originally from Mt. Pleasant/Henry County? If not, what brought you here? No, I was raised in southeast Iowa/northwest Missouri and I came here to work at American Family Insurance.
What is your favorite part of living here? It is centrally located to visit our seven grandchildren and family.
What is your favorite local hangout? My office. I'm here way too much!

What is your favorite summer activity? RAGBRAI; this year will be No. 21.
What is one thing you've not tried that you would like to? Skydiving. It's on my bucket list.
Is there something Mt. Pleasant doesn't have that you'd like to see? More bike trails. Would love to have a bike trail at Oakland Mills.

Old Threshers. We are fortunate to have it here and Terry McWilliams as CEO.
