Youth enjoy final week of Summer Rec
Children from the Columbus Junction Community in grades Kindergarten through second joined the fun of Louisa County Conservation’s Summer Rec program Aug. 2-6 at Chautauqua Park in Columbus Junction.
Thirty-eight youth attended the program with an average of eight per day. Participants enjoyed spending time outside playing games and exploring the topic of the Olympics. Themed days included birds, land animals, water animals, and even human Olympics.
Participants explored many different areas of scientific discovery, playing many exciting games and making crafts that went along with what they learned about that day.
