Youth tennis lessons begin April 9; sign up under way

Fairfield Park and Recreation Department will offer youth tennis lessons for boys and girls 5 years and older beginning April 9.

Classes will be 4-4:45 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Roosevelt Community Recreation Center racquetball courts.

Instructors for the class, Jennifer Bradfield and Josh Downman, will teach group instruction on the fundamental skills of tennis. Students will learn serving, forehand and backhand, scorekeeping, and much more.

The park and recreation department will provide all equipment.

The cost of the class is $30. Preregistration is required.
