Youth were buzzing about Summer Rec
Children from the Columbus Community joined in on the fun July 11-15 at Chautauqua Park.
Eleven youth attended Summer Rec and enjoyed spending time outside playing games and exploring pollinators. Participants learned the buzz about bees and butterflies; they played many exciting games and made crafts that went along with what they learned each day.
On the last day, participants made a splash with water games to keep cool and celebrate a successful week.
Summer Rec is sponsored by the City of Columbus Junction and provided by Louisa County Conservation.
