Healthy Living is a priority topic of 4-H and they continue to explore, teach, model and learn to live that every day. New for the month of July, 4-H invites all youth of Washington County to participate in Youth Yoga as a healthy living activity.
This new Youth Yoga opportunity is free to all participants every Thursday in July at the Washington Public Library. Youth who have finished grades kindergarten-to third-grade will have class from 6 to 6:30 p.m. and fourth-to 12th-grade will have class from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m. Youth need to bring only a water bottle and towel or yoga mat. Participants may come to one or all four classes for free.
This course will be non-competitive and focused on self-improvement in a positive and relaxing environment. Yoga helps both physical and mental health while strengthening the mind-body connection.
