Emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident on Monday, Feb. 29. The accident occurred at approximately 4 p.m., at 293rd Street and New London Road, in rural New London. As of press time, no details were released as to the driver or cause of the accident.

Mt. Pleasant?s jazz bands competed recently at Indian Hills Jazz Fest, in Ottumwa and at the Coe College Jazz Summit, in Cedar Rapids. Jazz 1 placed first among the 3A bands at Indian Hills and second in Cedar Rapids. Jazz 2 placed third at the Coe competition.
