The opening weekend of the Christmas shopping season is history. Several other retail outlets in Mt. Pleasant were open on Thanksgiving. Most merchants reported strong opening weekend sales. Peeble?s officials said the outlet doubled its Black Friday (and Thanksgiving Day) sales from last year. Moderate weather on Friday and Saturday no doubt helped increase traffic.
