Mike and Mary Holloway?s new home was set on its foundation earlier this week. The Mt. Pleasant couple purchased the home from Davis Homes and a crane is shown placing the rear half of the home on the foundation. The home is located on Winfield Avenue and replaced a vacant lot that formerly housed an orchard.

Mt. Pleasant City Administrator Brent Schleisman used to joke that the interior of the airport?s terminal building looked like something out of the 1970s. Not anymore. A terminal renovation project was recently completed, bringing the structure into this century. The renovation also was the last item on the city?s five-year ?wish list? for the airport. Hon of Muscatine donated the furniture for the terminal.
