Janel Barnes, a Luther College senior from Mt. Pleasant, was inducted into the Luther chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa national academic honor society at a ceremony held Sunday, April 28 in the Noble Recital Hall on the Luther campus.Barnes is the daughter of Layne and Judy Barnes of Mt. Pleasant. She is a graduate of Mt. Pleasant Community High School and is majoring in statistics at Luther.
