Monday evening?s storm caused many trees to loose branches. At 405 East Henry St. in Mt. Pleasant, the wind gusts caused this large tree, estimated to be 150 years old, to twist and snap. Luckily, the tree did not land on any homes or garages.

A Henry County Sheriff?s Deputy stopped a vehicle being driven by Chanh Quang Nhu Bui, 25, of Mt. Pleasant last Thursday, March 15.The traffic stop occurred at approximately 6:49 p.m.As a result of the stop, Bui was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated and driving while license revoked.
