Brandon Jenkins, 18, of Farmington was driving a vehicle when he was stopped by Henry County Sheriff?s deputies Thursday evening, Feb. 23. The incident occurred at approximately 10 p.m.Jenkins was taken into custody and charged with operating while intoxicated - first offense and possession under the legal age.

Proficient driving skill by WACO Community School District bus driver Chris Alvine prevented a potentially dangerous situation Friday, Feb. 24. Soft gravel and mud pulled a bus from the roadway near Crawfordsville, but Alvine was able to keep the bus upright. Forty-two students were on the bus during the morning route to school and only one minor injury was reported.

Parent-teacher conferences are planned Thursday, March 1, and Friday, March 2, at Mt. Pleasant Community High School.Conferences will be from 1-5 p.m. and 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, and from 8 a.m.-noon Friday.
