Beginning early Tuesday, Aug. 30, the South Wilson Street intersection with East Washington Street will be closed until the end of the Washington Street project, according to city officials.The closure is to avoid a dangerous situation with Old Threshers traffic attempting to turn onto Wilson Street or Washington Street with the volume of traffic expected (during Old Threshers).

Kirby and Mary (Budde) Moon of Mt. Union were recipients of a Century Farm designation during the Iowa State Fair. To qualify, a family must have owned at least 40 acres for 100 years or more. The Moon farm, located on 200th Street, has been around since 1871.The Century Farm program began in 1981. Making the presentation was Bill Northey, right, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture.

A burglary was reported to the Henry County Sheriff?s Office last night, Aug. 25, shortly before 11 p.m.It was reported that a burglary to a camper happened in Hillsboro. The camper was parked in the 100 block of West Pine Street.The theft incident is under further investigation.
