No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle collision Tuesday morning in rural Henry County, authorities said.
A Mt. Pleasant man was cited after his vehicle left the roadway and overturned in a creek early Thursday morning, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office said.
Last week, Henry County supervisors continued discussions on adopting a county traffic code expected to retain tens of thousands of dollars a year in fines and signaled they would approve hiring a part-time deputy to patrol the courthouse once a formal proposal is submitted.
When word broke of Judge Thomas Reidel’s ruling removing Henry County Deputy Carlos Lopez from the Brady-Giglio list, the message traveled quickly through Henry County. By that evening, word had spread among friends, fellow officers and neighbors who had spent more than a year rallying around the deputy.
A district court judge has ordered Henry County Deputy Carlos Lopez’s name removed from the Brady-Giglio list, ruling that County Attorney Darin Stater “abused his discretion” when placing the deputy on it and failed to show Lopez acted dishonestly.
