Young art students from the Mt. Pleasant Community School District are getting the chance to showcase art projects throughout the month of March at the Henry County Courthouse. The art exhibit officially opened to the public on Sunday and is available for viewing during regular business hours.

Although Mt. Pleasant didn?t receive the pounding many other Iowa communities did last night, the city didn?t come out of the storm unscathed. This home, located on the corner of Jay and Monroe Street, had a large branch down in its front yard. Thankfully, the house looks to be undamaged.
