By Monday evening, Fairfield Activities Director Jeff Courtright had addressed the cold weather?s possible effects on tonight?s non-conference home game versus the new school from North Liberty, Iowa City Liberty.
As noted in Courtright?s original email, temperatures have risen slightly and are expected to crescent at 3pm today around 10 degrees, a full 20 degrees warmer than it currently sits as I type this mid-Tuesday morning.
The junior varsity game will go first with tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
After rising into positive territory this afternoon, the temperature is expected to drop into the five to 10 degree range around tipoff, before climbing into the teens again around the time everyone heads to their cars following the varsity contest.
