David J. Parsons

David J. Parsons, 74, of Waterloo, died Feb. 10, 2012, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

A graveside service and interment of cremains will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Union Cemetery, east of Fairfield, with the Rev. Robert G. Farr officiating.

Memorials to the family may be left at the service or may be mailed to Pedrick Funeral Home, P.O. Box 513, Keosauqua 52565.

Mr. Parsons was born Feb. 22, 1937, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of John and Mildred Farr Parsons.

Survivors include his wife, Velma; two sons, Landon Parsons of Stirling, N.J., and Joe Stefan of Waterloo; four daughters, Darla Hildebrand of Grundy Center, Barbara Powers of Williamsburg, Va., Teresa Bateman of Mill Creek, Wash., and Ann Stefan of Waterloo; and eight grandchildren.
