The Hy-Vee Drugstore and its affiliated clinic pharmacy on the square in Fairfield will merge into the Hy-Vee store currently under construction in Fairfield, officials with Hy-Vee have announced.
The merger will take effect when the new Fairfield Hy-Vee opens in early April, said Randy Menke, Hy-Vee store director. He said current employees at the drug store and clinic pharmacy have been notified of the merger and are being offered positions with the new store.
?With our Hy-Vee store nearly doubling in size, this is an opportunity to bring our team together to provide the best possible service for customers and patients in Fairfield,? Menke said.
Menke noted the new Hy-Vee store has a door located near the pharmacy department for the convenience of pharmacy customers, as well as an improved drive-up system that provides quick and easy access for patients dropping off and picking up prescriptions.
?Every feature of our new store has been designed to create a true one-stop-shopping experience for our customers,? he said.
