Earl J. Arnold

Earl J. Arnold, 83, of Keosauqua, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Bill Shewmaker officiating. Burial will be in Fellows Cemetery in Keosauqua.

Open visitation began at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the family present from 5-7 p.m.

Mr. Arnold was born Jan. 22, 1929, in rural Keosauqua, the son of Floyd and Kate Bartholomew Arnold. He married Betty Louise Huffman April 16, 1949. She died Dec. 6, 1986.

Survivors include his special friend, Geraldine Snodgrass; one son, Randy Arnold and wife Kathy Story of Keosauqua; one sister, Hazel Shipley of Keosauqua; two brothers, John Arnold of Keosauqua and Mike Arnold of Crete, Ill; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
