Joan Guenther, 81, of Crofton, Neb., died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, in Omaha, Neb., where she had resided in an independent living facility since 2009.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton.
She was an avid homemaker, a great cook and an accomplished seamstress. Her life was dedicated to the well-being of her family.

Joan Guenther, 81, of Crofton, Neb., died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, in Omaha, Neb., where she had resided in an independent living facility since 2009.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton.
She was an avid homemaker, a great cook and an accomplished seamstress. Her life was dedicated to the well-being of her family.
She enjoyed being a long-time writer of the ?Bits and Pieces? column for the Crofton Journal.
Singing with the Sweet Adelines was a special event in her life.
Survivors include six children, Marcia Quinonez and spouse Victor of Seattle, Wash.; Karen Hegge and spouse Lonnie of Omaha, Pat Polland of Omaha, Diane Goudy and spouse Joe of Fairfield, Duane Guenther and spouse Elaine of Crofton, and Beth Guenther of Omaha; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred, in 2005.
