Pekin wins Kohawk Relays
CEDAR RAPIDS ? With a few of its top performers gone to the Drake Relays, the Pekin boys? track and field team still posted a win as host of the Kohawk Relays Thursday in Cedar Rapids.
The Panthers won the meet with 166 points ? eight ahead of second-place Marion.
Zach Mosbey, Trey Sathoff and Bryce Sines were all preparing for early starts at the Drake Relays this morning.

CEDAR RAPIDS ? With a few of its top performers gone to the Drake Relays, the Pekin boys? track and field team still posted a win as host of the Kohawk Relays Thursday in Cedar Rapids.
The Panthers won the meet with 166 points ? eight ahead of second-place Marion.
Zach Mosbey, Trey Sathoff and Bryce Sines were all preparing for early starts at the Drake Relays this morning.
With Mosbey out of the way, two more Pekin throwers stepped in to take event titles including Derek Moralis with throw of 122-feet, six-inches in the discus and Austin Adam with a winning shot put of 42-feet, nine-inches.
Senior Brady Lamb also led the charge for Pekin winning the 400-meter hurdles (58.60) and leading off the winning 4x800 (8:34) that included Eli Harper, Phillip Laux and Graham Wittrock.
Laux added an individual victory in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:05. Freshman Graham Wittrock was second behind Lamb in the 400-hurdles (1:03.30) and also runner up in the long jump (17? 11?).
The Panthers will run again Tuesday at Eddyville-Blakesburg.
