Ted Cruz is constitutional conservative

To the editor:

Jefferson County, the state of Iowa, and this nation has a choice to make and if there was ever a time for choosing, it is now!

Unless we the people change the path starting on Feb. 1, America is on the path to the graveyard of fallen nations. This nation, once respected throughout the world, is now reviled by a president and others that go around the world apologizing for the foundations of the nation.

America is on the brink of an out of control liberalistic, socialistic disaster from within both the Republicans and Democrats in name only parties. President Ronald Reagan once stated: "Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so."

If there was ever a desperate need to look back and rediscover the vision, passion, wisdom, knowledge, courage and the convictions of our Founding Fathers and our constitution in order that this nation can truly move forward, it is now!

The time for choosing is now, and we the people must not allow our voices or our votes to be silenced, influenced or wasted again by big shot state or federal party bosses. These big-shot GOP bosses think that only a watered down, moderate New York values, deal making, constitutional compromising, Republican in-name-only presidential candidate of their choice, provides the best means to defeat Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders or whoever else would come along.

These big-shot party bosses were wrong in 2008 with John McCain and Sarah Palin and again in 2012 with Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. We cannot allow them to be wrong again in 2016.

We the people are tired of business as usual and together as an army of true courageous grassroots conservatives we must stand up, speak out and vote on Feb. 1 so that together with a true courageous constitutional conservative for president of the United States of America we can reignite the promise of America, truth and liberty and reclaim our constitution as we return this nation back to one nation under God and the gleaming "city set on a hill" as a beacon of enduring freedom.

Ted Cruz is the only presidential candidate with a proven record of devoting his life to defending the constitution of the United States of America.

Ted Cruz works tirelessly and is unflappable as he confronts and opposes the lawless unconstitutional actions of our 44th president, our current Republican Senate majority leader and the majority vote of nine unelected black robed judges that also think that they have a diktat to serve as dictators for 320 million America citizens.

Ted Cruz has a proven record of upholding his oath to protect and defend the constitution of the United States of America from both foreign and domestic enemies.

Ted Cruz courageously stands up, speaks out and fights on our behalf, our children, our grandchildren and our future generations for the truth of this nation's foundations.

The eyes of this nation and of this world are upon us Monday, Feb. 1, 2016.
