Two Fairfield school buses to be replaced next year
The Fairfield Community School District will be replacing two of its oldest and higher-mileage buses with new ones to be purchased with 2011-12 Physical Plant and Equipment Levy monies.
Fairfield Community School District Board of Directors approved spending $170,474 to purchase two new 65-passenger school buses from Hoglund Bus Company in Marshalltown during a meeting earlier this month.

The Fairfield Community School District will be replacing two of its oldest and higher-mileage buses with new ones to be purchased with 2011-12 Physical Plant and Equipment Levy monies.
Fairfield Community School District Board of Directors approved spending $170,474 to purchase two new 65-passenger school buses from Hoglund Bus Company in Marshalltown during a meeting earlier this month.
Fred McElwee, director of auxiliary services, recommended the board accept Hoglund?s bid because it was the only bidder meeting the district?s engine specifications.
